Auricular Ear Seeds

Auricular (ear) accupuressure is a technique by which small seeds are placed onto certain points in your outer ear to help with common complaints such as anxiety, insomnia, stress and pain etc this simple technique has been used for 1000s of years in Chinese medicine and is quite quickly building in its popularity in Western health care, probably due to the effectiveness, needle free, simple and quick application support and improve common ailments, which is both natural and boasts only minimal side effects.

During the ear seed application we use Acu Seeds , which are gold or silver plate seeds stuck on to the ear with a small clear adhesive sheet (as seen on recent Dragons Den)

In traditional chinease medicine (TCM) It is thought that the ear represents the whole body. Therefore each part of the ear has a corresponding point to an organ/ body part or ailment. By locating these points a small seed is placed in these points. This creates a continual and gentle pressure on the nerve impulse of this point, in turn this sends signals to Brain that certain systems/organs need support and in response the brain then sends signals to the organs and parts of the body that may need support, releasing endorphins, helping to relax the nervous system and naturally smooth pain.

Gentle Release Therapy

Gentle Release Therapy Specialist - Advance Balance - Lincoln UK

Gentle Release Therapy

Gentle Release Therapy is a calming, body-based approach designed to help the nervous system shift out of stress and into a state of balance. Rather than forcing change, this therapy works with the body in a slow, supportive way, allowing stored tension, emotional stress, and protective patterns to soften and release naturally.

When we experience stress, trauma, or ongoing pressure, the body often holds onto it—sometimes long after the original event has passed. Gentle Release Therapy supports the body in safely unwinding these patterns. Using light, intentional techniques and nervous system awareness, it helps restore a sense of safety, ease, and connection within the body.

This therapy may support:

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Chronic tension and pain

  • Emotional overwhelm

  • Trauma-related symptoms

  • Sleep disturbances

  • Burnout and fatigue

  • Digestive discomfort linked to stress

  • Feeling “stuck” or disconnected

Sessions are deeply relaxing and tailored to your comfort level. Many clients describe feeling lighter, calmer, and more grounded afterward.

Gentle Release Therapy is not about pushing through discomfort. It’s about listening, allowing, and creating the conditions for the body to heal itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Gentle Release Therapy?
Gentle Release Therapy is a calm, body-based approach that works with the nervous system to help release stored tension, stress, and protective patterns. It uses subtle, non-forceful techniques to support regulation and restore a sense of safety and ease within the body.

What is Vagus Nerve Therapy?
Vagus Nerve Therapy focuses specifically on supporting the vagus nerve, which plays a key role in regulating stress, digestion, emotional balance, and recovery. By gently supporting healthy vagal tone, the body can shift out of fight-or-flight and into a more regulated, restorative state.

What happens during a session?
Sessions are gentle and tailored to you. You will remain fully clothed and comfortably positioned, usually lying down. Light, intentional touch and specific techniques are used to support nervous system regulation. There is no forceful manipulation. The session is paced carefully, and your comfort is always prioritised.

How long does a session last?
Sessions typically last between 60 and 90 minutes, allowing time for your nervous system to settle and integrate.

How many sessions will I need?
This varies from person to person. Some clients notice shifts after one session, while others benefit from a series. The Vagus Nerve Treatment is often offered as a structured four-session process, with each session building progressively to support deeper regulation.

What can this therapy help with?
Gentle Release and Vagus Nerve Therapy may support:

• Anxiety and panic symptoms
• Chronic stress and burnout
• Emotional regulation
• Digestive discomfort linked to stress
• Sleep disturbances
• Trauma recovery support
• Headaches and tension patterns

Is it painful?
No. The techniques used are subtle and gentle. Most clients experience the sessions as deeply relaxing. At times, you may become aware of sensations as the body releases tension, but this is supported carefully and within your comfort levels.

Will I feel anything during the session?
Experiences vary. Some people feel warmth, tingling, emotional shifts, or deep relaxation. Others simply notice a sense of calm. There is no “right” way to experience the session — your body responds in its own way and time.

Is this therapy suitable if I’ve experienced trauma?
Yes. This approach is nervous system-focused and works at a pace that feels safe. It does not require you to retell or relive past experiences. The emphasis is on creating safety and regulation within the body.

What might I notice after a session?
Many clients report feeling calmer, lighter, more grounded, or sleeping more deeply. Occasionally, you may notice temporary fatigue or emotional processing as the body integrates. Drinking water and allowing yourself time to rest can be helpful.

Is this a replacement for medical or psychological treatment?
Gentle Release Therapy and Vagus Nerve Therapy does not replace Medical or Psychological treatment. They are complementary approaches. They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment, but can work alongside other healthcare support.
